I totally agree, this is definitely yet another important feature which is badly missed.

Wait.  You want them to add a feature that's been in most BF games? A feature that everyone liked and it only improved the game? Why would they add such a thing? 

not sure but dont they have a key binded on the minimap zoom? thought it was "N". doesnt work offcourse but still
