Yes and no. A good pilot will be able to dodge you consistently. Hills, buildings, even trees in some cases. However, I wouldn't mind ECMs. I'd like flares to come back slower but give the helicopter time to flee. But this means you'll just have someone in a helicopter attacking once and fleeing back to base. They'd be useless and wouldn't help the team. Can't have that K/D ruined.
The flares as is actually work the same way ECM did in BF4. Stops locks and continues to stop them for a few seconds after deployment. Helicopters are in a great place in my opinion, especially their health. I've only really seen pilot mains complain. But more importantly, a broad range of attachments and some proper buffs and nerfs would be great. Why should a pilot be forced to use rocket pods when there are a bunch of other weapons? Why is one attachment the only one worth using? I'm looking forward to the changes, but it's best not to make helicopters busted. Orbital is a great example of a good map for helicopters. The hills, buildings and incredibly short stinger range mean you can escape incredibly easily. Speed, on the other hand, can make locks impossible. It's a lose lose scenario. I'd like to hear your opinion in a bit more detail. I just know that once we start listening to pilots and pilots only, we're gonna be in trouble. Same with people that only play tank or LAV.
I just kinda worry, y'know?
