- Mouse bug, not resetting my settings to get this working. Followed another tutorial to delete YRAW lines in profile, however exiting vehicles brings back the vertical look only.
- Tanks are RPG sponges, yet the C5 does more damage? Seriously which true BF game has ever made the RPG nerfed this hard! Even those MC5 tanks take 2 or more RPGs.
Tank damage taken from troops vs damage returned is soo unbalanced, dev's please address.
- Tanks & the "part disabled" mechanic is seriously broken. Other BF's had this working yet BF2042 seems to take this to another level by fooling the player. Tank tracks if RPG'd should not move. Tank turret if RPG'd should not fire or move. 3 RPG's should destroy a tank but not in this game.
- Tank aiming bug, sometimes the turret doesn't move to where the mouse is aimed, depending on what terrain it's on. Have to go POV view to then aim the turret but obviously not ideal. Please fix third person view and turret aiming issues.
- Sundance Anti-Armour grenade! Who the hell ruined this even more? The grenade now doesn't even go to where you are aiming, it now goes where ever it wants to. Pretty stupid and useless now. It needs to go to where you are aiming.
- Sundance Anti-Armour grenade too weak! For a specialist to rock a grenade belt that should level the playing field of vehicle vs soldier, this specialist is woeful at best. The cluster grenade doesn't disperse much, and the anti-armour grenade is weak AF. Not to also forget to mention, it's TOOO SLOW!!!. FFS EA Devs, this grenade is supposed to hit it's target. Even if thrown in the direction of the vehicle it either fails to explode or finds it's own target & most times it re-routes it's flight path taking the longest journey possible and never reaches the target.
- Assault Rifle+SMG vs Sniper rifles! Wow really stuffed it this time Devs. Since when do AR's & SMG's have such little recoil and pin point accuracy that they can hit a player at range vs a DMR rifle shooting back? Was there any review or cross referencing between the other BF games that counted (BFV and the whole WW1/2 series was abysmal)? You'll find that a DMR should still win a fight, but not in BF2042... clearly COD kids were developing this game (not that I hate COD, COD is good for RNG gameplay - not realism or open combat)
- Building destruction?? Was this supposed to be in the game or just meh, best efforts we'll make certain things destroyable?. Should be able to blow a hole in a wall with C5 or RPG. Concrete with a bit of steel isn't that strong. BF 4 had this I believe..
All in all, the game is progressing, but I feel the Dev's lack foresight into what a true BF game is. Given EA has acquired DICE and taken over, it's almost as if EA is DELIBERATELY making this game crap to let COD pave the way for the future. Let's be honest, COD has it's place as an RnG shooter and I enjoy that style too, but BF is supposed to be part-combat simulator/realistic yet soo many aspects of prior BF's weren't included.
I really feel for the players that were hoping this would be a 2.0 version of the OG BF games, since we can't get our money back as we're hanging out to dry waiting for EA and the Dev's to 'FIX' this game.
**EA IS DELIBERATELY MAKING THIS GAME WORSE, TO PAVE THE WAY FOR COD TO OWN THE FRANCHISE/MARKET DOMINANCE**
Sorry EA, you aren't going to fool me twice. This is my last EA game purchase.
Prior Issues noticed:
1. Spotting using ping, doesn't reveal vehicle or play locations most of the times. It marks the spot where vehicle/player was but nothing else.
2. Customising loadout is woeful tbh. The whole 'plus' system needs an overhaul.
a. Setting an attachment via plus during match, SHOULD NOT make that attachment permanent for the weapon. It should only stay for that match/game. Your loadout should be the default for when you spawn...
b. In the loadout, the only way I've found that you can make an attachment 'default' is by changing the position in the plus system. Moving in the first slot (closest to weapon) makes default.
We should be able to actually select the attachment (to add it to weapon) and confirm attachment loadout, rather than playing with the order all the time
3. Where's HARDCORE MODE ? This game is supposed to be a combat simulator (at least the previous were) so doesn't make sense for vehicles and players to be bullet sponges.
4. Damaging vehicles and parts being disabled. In prior BF's vehicles would actually have specific part disabling, however this seems broken in BF2042. 'Disabling' a tank turret or tracks should disable that and therefore nullify actions or functioning of that part.
5. Biggest peeve in a squad is when the squad leader doesn't give an order. In prior BF's you could 'request an order' 5 times in a row and become squad leader. This doesn't seem to work in 2042...
6. Leaving a squad doesn't work. When you really want to start fresh or allow friends to join you, there seems to be no functioning process for starting new squad. "Leave Squad" doesn't work in BF 2042.
7. BIGGEST issue I have so far, is being dropped into a match (Conquest in this reference), where it's nearly over. Since the lobby is disbanded after each game, you have to search for a new one each time, having to wait and then finally joining a game when it's at the end is really annoying. Matchmaking should place joining players into matches with greatest 'tickets' left or match time remaining until a match is joined.
8. Buildings aren't as 'destructible' as the game advertised. A single RPG round from players gun should be able to put a hole in a wall of a building, let alone do damage to a tank...
9. Grenade and RPG round 'splash damage'. This appears to be broken, grenades should kill players within a vicinity of 2-3 meters. Current grenades need to land right next to a player/vehicle to cause damage.
EDIT 18th Nov:
10. Friendly vehicles not showing on mini map, seems to be an occasional thing.
10.1 Enemy units not showing on radar or identifiable as enemy (they look like a civi)
10.2 Loading into some games/matches controls are reverted. i.e. Instant grenade throw went back to default, press space to skip revive disappeared...
11. The full map is terrible. Should show your location and orientation.
12a. 2nd biggest peeve: MMO mouse can't utilise key bindings on more than 2 mouse buttons.
12b. Previous item/next item and weapon next/previous mouse scroll bug. Can't have
items for scroll up, and weapons for scroll down action. Both are accepted but only one winner. You can't change setting once done, you need to reset key bindings. PITA
13. Pressing gadget/ability button again should return you to your weapon
14. Hover release for plus system, rather than hover click for selecting attachments.
15. Can't spot or give orders whilst in vehicles (noticed from being in a tank)
16. Rewards/Unlocks screen post match, can't scroll through unlocks (and add to weapon). They seem to disappear or not be scrollable. Not very intuitive if i'm doing it wrong, older BF's had this down pat.
*seems like the devs for this game need to go back and play BF3? take some notes and adopt to this game... useless EA
