Feedback: Squad Management Rework

Being killed by the backdraft of a squad mates missile or spawning into a ground vehicle being blown by C5 is a common occurrence for me. Making new squad and admin team balance is also on my list of hopeful changes for the future of this potentially best battlefield yet.

Ahaha, I don't think I have tried the first thing, but damn that is an unlucky spawn! But the destroyed vehicle happens almost every game; especially since you can't even see the health of the vehicle before you spawn in, so that would be nice too! 

And agreed, admin teambalance would be really awesome to have as well as QoL for people with premium who have permanent servers running etc. 🙂 

The only thing I can thumb up on this "rework" is that you don't have to die to change squad.

Before this silly rework at least you were automatically placed with your friends when joining a party. Now it doesn't matter if you join a party from your friends because, most of the times, once you are in the game you wont be in the same squad with them.
This rework was supossed to be helpful to play with friends but now is just a pain trying to join friends while playing because not always there is a squad with free slots and when the server is full is not possible to create new squads to join all togheter.

The only thing the squad management can be helpful in this BF version is for friends to play togheter and after the last update is hard to do so. You still can't do anything like give orders and get rewards for being followed (or follow them). There is no squad camera showing the status of squad members after you get killed. There is neighter the most important and valuable thing that squad management gave us along almost all the great previous versions of BF: kick the useless camper or lonewolf player.

Squad management at BF2042 still just a bad joke.

@Ti4_S4ndYCan i kick a headless chicken if they are at K/D 24/21? Too many deaths causing to lose. Or anybody that is not playing to my liking? Not in a vehicle etc? I bet it does not feel good to you too if you get kicked. You might rage quit. Or avenge somehow. Trash message to kicker. 

Seriously we don’t need kick. Leave the squad. You could be the problem too.

Being able to kick would be the far superior design regardless of the reason why you remove a player from your squad.

Basically there are two reasons why you might opt to do that:

1. A player is some camper, sitting at the edge of the map, not contributing at all -- not even as a spawn point
2. You need room for another player, one of your friends that you want to play together with in your squad.

If we would have a kick option, Dice could implement this in a way that the player that is about to be removed from your squad will be automatically placed in another squad that has one free slot. If there is not such option, then we always create a new squad and move over to this squad, basically leaving the player alone in her own squad.

For case 1, this might not matter as the player anyway wants to stay alone, keep on pitching up her tent at the edge of the map. She will not miss being in a squad. For case 2 this sucks for the player we have to remove from our squad. Were there a kick option -- read: relocate to another squad -- then she could just keep on playing with squad mates without the need to select a new squad manually. With the current implementation, that is not the case and she would need to know how to manually join a new squad.

For us, the outcome is the same. We move to a new squad and keep on playing -- with the downside of now all of us having to do the 'dance'. If the squad leader could relocate a player to a different squad, this would save some work of 2 players not involved that could just stay in the squad and keep on playing.

If you still don't see that having a 'relocate to another squad' option would be beneficial for all players involved, then I really don't know how much more digestible I would have to present the case.

Is it so hard to start a squad and all move to that one? The game won’t kick out a “pub” squad member, which is a good thing as he’d be wondering how and why he got the boot. When I join on my buddies I just start a squad and if they’re feeling generous will join it lol. Takes 30 seconds man. I agree with your other ideas, especially squad perks for working together.

If you don't get why the option to move a player to another squad would be the superior design for ALL players involved, INCLUDING! the one that gets transferred to out of your squad, then please re-read my post right above yours.
