@Popa2caps This is true for a lot of games. Ubisoft games largely force you to install the Ubisoft launcher. Rockstar games have their launcher that I believe is needed [or at least was at one point].

I'm not at all arguing that fact, but more or less suggesting that Electronic Arts streamline this more, in better hopes that the title feels and/ or plays faster.
In the end, closing Steam shouldn't leave behind EA services that still run entirely by itself without the user's awareness. I feel that should be addressed immediately. EA background services don't need to run while the game launcher is closed. That's lazy coding on behalf of EA to try and get easy accessible data from unsuspecting users, and I just won't tolerate it.
Again, I totally get that some game titles require background services while running, but Battlefield 2042 is the only one that has a service that runs when I fully close Steam. Without a direct change to this behavior, I simply will not try anymore of the product.
