5800X3D with a 4090 should be up to the task but it isn’t…. Fix your game, the lack of attention to this issue is clearly driven by indolence; separate code for consoles and PCs is the answer.
How's your GPU usage?
On a modern CPU, low usage is normal.
80ish%, I get 96 on OW2 which has an antiquated engine.
I decided to install BF5 to gauge the performance difference, unsurprisingly it is massive.
1440P, Ultra, no DLSS, RT on= 250-325 FPS
GPU utilization however isn’t any better, clearly DICE needs to take a serious look at how frostbite is programmed and put effort into maximizing available computational resources.
The lack of optimization in their titles is limiting their user base and is ammunition for the haters.- @TheOperat1on if you have GstRender.Dx12Enabled on in your config turn it off
