Rao can disable flares
Angel gives you infinite AA
Both are very effective against aircraft.
Still, I wish AP ammo did more damage to light armour like aircraft.
And unfortunately, I think that's exactly where the specialist system is mechanically flawed. certain specialists using the exact same weapon are extremely overpowered where a different one is practically useless. that's why we here at battlefield liked and still like class systems. this is a massive learning experience for dice. they are finally given the most extreme example of " if it isn't broken don't attempt to fix it".

Assault was pretty crap at anti air too.
- kregora4 years agoSeasoned Ace@OMEN_K_1-6 I think it is unfair to blame this on the specialists. I am pretty sure an BF4 Engineer with AA Mines and Stingers paired with a Support with an Ammo Crate are more useful against helicopters than any other class.
It is more like the gadget refill mechanics are to blame here.
While in BF4 you had to stay close to a ammo crate to get your gadget or grenade, in BF2042 you pick your gadget/grenade up immediately and then have this ammo crate goes into cooldown, until you can pickup another gadget/grenade, but you don't even need to wait close by.
