Flying With Keyboard and Mouse

What is the easiest layout to fly jets, helicopters and transports with a keyboard and mouse? Any good videos on it as well?

  • You can open options - mouse and keyboard - vehicles

    Invert vertical flight - ON

    Vehicle mouse aim ~ 65

Key Bindings - Pilot /Gunner and set WASD instead of arrows buttons/

That's all for me for wasd for piloting and using space for shooting main and right mouse button for shooting secondary

@GrizzGolf Check out silk on youtube, he's a good jet and heli pilot. one of my buddies is really good in a chopper and always recommends binding space bar to be pitch up so that you can pull up out of a dive easier without messing with the mouse.
  • I turned "Helicopter Control Assists" to OFF since leaving it on keeps trying to level the heli. You have to keep putting input into nose down to go forward with it on and that's not good.

I also turned "Aircraft Control Sensitivity" up (you'll have to experiment) because it's impossible to fly a jet or Condor in jet mode at default. There just isn't enough control

What fries by bacon is that mouse and keyboard flying is not ideal because it's a "1s and 0s" control. You're either controlling or not. There is no partial control like with a stick, where you can control a little or a lot. It makes it difficult for those precision shots, but alas, I can't get a controller or joystick to work...
