Forced bailout, could they count as a vehicle destroyed?

I'm getting sick to the back teeth of trying to level up the jets, hitting an aircraft with a missile or two and then the pilot bailing out causing me to get absolutely nothing towards the weapon unlocks for them. Could forced bailouts at least count towards vehicles destroyed for this as it is quite frustrating trying to use them.
