I couldn't agree more, and it just proves the point to see pc-players being provoked by the idea of having another default for crossplay. Why bother if the easy kills from console players wasn't appreciated?
Claiming that you can just switch crossplay off completely misses the point, on purpose or not. As far I know, the developers still haven't provided a motive for the crossplay default from launch of the game, its plain wrong. The obvious first choice would be to let players who actually want to play against different input devices do an active choice and switch it on.

Exactly this, I could not agree more.
Wheb you turn off crossplay you basically just don't get to play. I waited for five minutes and didn't get a single other xbox player.
It's the same on PC, I have the game on both Xbox and PC and if I turn cross play off I get no games.
