I am using the X1 version over the XS version since it is way more fun for me without having to deal with PC players. The default option for consoles should be an option that I am asking since forever: CONSOLE ONLY.

I have the XS version and if I disable the cross-play, I can't find any matches. If I leave it on, the game is unbalanced. At least, on 2042, I have the option to use the old gen version. The next BF probably won't have PS4/X1 versions...

I don't hate PC, but nobody can say that it's not easier to kill using mouse/keyboard than using a controller. Using mouse you can turn 360 degrees in less than 1 second with accuracy. Also, PC is more likely to have "hacks" than consoles...

Anyway, I don't believe DICE will ever listen to this request. This is a MUST-HAVE feature, but they keep ignoring our requests because they are too busy creating skins...

anyway, it will be big surprise for me if Dice will add "console only crossplay"...
