A mouse (not necessarily a KB) is the only real way to play shooters and I think consoles should have native support. However it's personal preference what to use. If you grew up with M/KB, that'll feel natural. If you've used analogs for years, I'm sure you can hold your own. Aim assist isn't an aimbot, it just snaps to the target a little once you get close to the target.
With that said though, aiming isn't the only factor in success. What I mean is better positioning, better tactics, different weapons. Not every fight is a one on one duel where accuracy is the deciding factor, you know? A good analog user isn't at THAT much of a disadvantage even though we all know the dead zone and travel time makes analogs a bit harder to use. It's not cheating, just years of practice. Lastly BF isn't about K/D, the highest scores come from getting objectives and team support.
