Reclaimed feels really frustrating with this mode. I played a few rounds on that map last night and didn't earn a single Objective ribbon, despite being on the objective for most of the match. Redacted is the same of course, but the only match I've been able to play on that map so far felt more even (might just have been an outlier since I've only played it once).
I think it's due to there only being on flag before the MCOM stage, so if you're on a team who is consistently pushed back from the objective and can never cap it, you're going to miss out on 3 ribbons.
Right now I'm only playing for the ribbons. After that I'm not playing Frontlines again, unless there's some serious refinement. I have never been this annoyed and frustrated by a gamemode in any Battlefield game I've played before.

So why play?
Play.... game... fun.... distraction from life (which probably suxs for you too lol).....
vs
Annoyed..... Frustrated...
I learned a long long time ago....I don't need to "Collect Them All". So, if something isn't enjoyable, I'm not going to waste the limited number of hours we get in life.

Initially it was because I wanted to enjoy it and hoped it would improve after I initially tried it. Now I'm on 60ish ribbons and over halfway done, I mostly just don't want to leave them unfinished.
I usually resist FOMO, but this one has just "gotten" to me I guess. I think I know why, but it's not something I particularly want to get into on the forums.

That gamemode is really bad it seems like the people that made it didn't consider flag placement for one minute and just did it at random.
I just played a round on discarded and there is one side where you have to run through an open field with no cover while the enemy is on the ship shooting from an elevated position and gets vehicles.
So we have one team clearly having the upper hand destroying the enemy but can't win because the objective is literally impossible to get to.
Most game I played ended up by running out the clock in a similar situation.
I think this game mode can be fun but the map layout need to be completely redone, because for now the map design this is extremely bad (to be polite)
- xVulture2 years agoSeasoned Veteran@ugdpy I totally agree and it seems this way on every map. Once the objective prior to the mcoms is in play, the defending team has lost the game. That objective is near impossible to take back.
The flag placements are the downfall of this game mode. IMO it really highlights how bad the maps are along with specialist being totally out of place in BF.
