FYI DICE, the 30mm Cannon on the Stealth Choppers are the OP pre-nerf versions

I really thought this would get patched in 1.1, but no mentions so I need to post it here. Not sure why DICE is so oblivious to this, but everyone I talked who flew the Stealth Chopper with the 30mm cannon knows how broken they are. The damage is very high and can be fired forever before overheating.

Remember how strong the 30mm was on the Bolt pre-nerf, that's how strong it is on the Stealth Choppers if not stronger. I thought maybe the 30mm was stealth buffed, but I check the 30mm version on vehicles and it had less damage and overheated a lot quicker. Btw, why does the same weapon behave differently on different vehicles?

    - strong vs infantry

    - strong vs vehicles

    - strong versus enemy air

    - strong vs AA missiles

    - flares and stealth

    - PICK ONE of the above please DICE! This aircraft is insanely OP and great at everything with a single set up.
    - suggest reducing total number of bombs and significantly increase the cooldown.
    - 30mm cannon OR bombs. Not both. If the player chooses bombs then the only upgrade to the nose gun should be .50 cal heavy machine gun. The .50 cal HMG would be strong vs enemy air and vs light skinned vehicles but would take much more pilot skill to take out individual infantry.
    - all infantry weapons in game and all ammo types  should be able to damage the Stealth Helos and knock the helo out of Stealth.
    - give players reasons to choose the Little Bird over the Huron/Hannibal, other than nostalgia.
    - give players a reason to choose jets over Huron/Hannibal, other than nostalgia. Jets vs enemy air are a joke compared to Stealth helos.
    - flares should be totally removed from the stealth helo. With flares and stealth any half decent player with an ounce of common sense can fly an entire match without being hit by AA missiles.
    - add the IGLA AA weapon to all core game

modes and allow us to track the Stealth helos even when theyre in stealth mode.

  • @StormtrooperDanI consider myself to be an above average pilot, and I can say that the 30mm cannons on the Stealth Helis are not broken. You need to actually aim at your target to deal damage. The 30mm cannons on the bolt pre-nerf had splash damage galore, the 30 mm cannons of the stealth helis do not have that ridiculous splash damage albeit they still deal an acceptable amount of splash damage.
The 50.cal guns shred infantry but you need to be accurate. That's the trade off, quick killings versus area denial.

I will say though it needs to overheat faster, just like almost every cannon, specialist explosives and miniguns in the game.

The Stealth Chopper 30mm cannons outperforms any other helicopter weapon at killing infantry (besides the 50mm that's already going to be nerfed). Better than any Nightbird weapon: minigun, 20mm cannon or the Anti-Personal Rocket Packs. Way better than 30mm cannon of the Attack Helicopter, which has always been mediocre.

30mm cannon does not require any careful aim at all vs the minigun.

  • I don't understand the mentally of the people about game development if you're not good on a part of the game it doesn't mean developer's should entirely change it , because of recent feedbacks this game have turned to call of duty copy just infantry fighting game!!!

The stealth chopper is already mediumcore they just might need to increase Cool down time for 30mm canon.

Anyone with Rao holding stinger can destroy Stealth chopper and there should be reason to select different specialists as well...

@S3SSioN_SoL What are you talking about ?
You just aim in the area of the player model and the splash damage is doing the rest.
The 30mm on the stealth chopper IS the pre-nerf version of the Bolte 30mm, it’s absolutely broken.

It takes forever to overheat just like it did. on the bolte.

@Bolvard  I don't know if you've noticed, but a lot of the cannons behave differently on different vehicles, the 50mm Cannon on the Recon behaves very differently from the 50mm Cannon the Hind/Condor, both in 1.0.0 and 1.1.0. Arguing that the Cannon's should behave consistently across the different vehicles is just asking for imbalances.

The Bolte is now the equivalent of hotdog water.

If you've flown the stealth heli against other helis then you would know, the overheat speed is within acceptable limits, needing only a minor nerf, actually requiring a gunner to be present to kill an enemy heli. You need to factor in these scenarios because just "making it overheat faster" can completely break it's purpose.

Also, it's called splash damage for a reason? The 30mm is an explosive round is it not? From what I noticed, the 50.cal kills infantry way faster but you need to be accurate, the 30mm is just a spray and pray, if you're not shooting at an enemy it's not gonna magically get you kills, like how the Bolte was, literally anyone can use a Bolte, the stealth chopper actually requires skill to fly, you place a Rao anywhere near the stealth chopper and suddenly the 30mm becomes a 0mm, that was seldom possible with the Bolte because seldom do people use SOFLAMs on it, so locking on to it was never really possible with the Recoilless, so drivers would just retreat when hacked which is better than nothing, and honestly is the equivalent scenario to seeing a sniper glint as infantry, you're not gonna stay where the glint can see you.

    @S3SSioN_SoLThats a lot of giberish

First of all, transport vehicles shouldnt have a 30mm or 50mm to Beginn with since it is not theyr purpose to actively hunt infantry and/or vehicles with it.
It is theyr purpose to transport your Team to a location and/or act as a mobile spawnpoint.

Second of all, a 50mm doesn’t magically behave different, no matter where it is build in or mounted.
Either the 50mm or 30mm perform the same across the Game, no matter the vehicle, or just remove it entirely.
Although this Game has so little content I’m mostly against removing Weapon's.

The 30mm on the stealth Heli as of now requires zero skill to rack up kills nor does the bombs in stealthmode since they drop where your aiming at, they don’t take velocity of the vehicle into effect, making it super easy to use.

atleast they can be countered by irish‘ sentinel

The only thing that takes skill to use is on the Gunnerseat with the suppressed hmg and the EMP dart to take out strategicall Armor or Assets from the enemy.
