@Straatford87 The game takes way too long to begin once you choose a game mode and start a search.Once you start a search it can take over 45secs in some case to find a game, then once a game is found and loads it takes upto another minute to fill up and start loading. We then have to wait another 30 secs for the countdown then when thats over another cut screen after a lengthy introduction to the map then another wait to actually start the attack/defence.Can this be cut down to get into a game quicker, 3-5 minutes is way too long and tedious. It is nearly as bad when the game ends.

All the voice-overs could be removed (both squad and map), the animations showing off the map could be removed, the delivery in the helis could be removed. Why Dice have put anything else than a loading-screen and a loadout-screen/vehicle-selection-screen (with a countdown), is beyond comprehension. All the other stuff takes unnecessary time, becomes tedious and annoying pretty fast.And after a fight you are again forced to look at stupid EOR-screens that are un-skippable...

Those timers are for loading times for slower machines, to ensure that most people could begin the round.

I don't want to hear about Russians in a game that is specifically fought in a time when nations collapsed and players are "no pats", how does that even make any sense?If you're gonna do it, at least do it right like BF1 Operation intros, but there's no lore for that kind of stuff anyway since 2042 story designers suck.

@SithMetal71 Even if we had map rotation in all game modes, this stuff wouldn't be a problem. They act like they cant add it into all out warfare. It is present in the portal and was present in liquidators event

@cso7777The voice overs and little transition cuts probably don’t actually effect the loading times. They’re something to look at while you’re loading in.

I’m pretty sure Battlefield historically has had longer load in times because of it loading textures and whatever else is happening. First game of BFV would be a little choppy. Didn’t BF3 take a long time to load in? I can’t remember all that clearly, it’s been forever.

This just kinda feels like being upset for the sake of being upset. There’s limitations to processing power, servers, and general software technology. With literally everything in life there’s trade offs. 128 players is a lot of people to get loaded into a server and start a round. Loading in to BF feels about equal or better than any other game I’ve played.

PC players, ya gotta start alt tabbing! It’s one of the perks of playing on a PC. Check your email, watch a video, pay your bills.

@SithMetal71 You realize that all these waiting times are animated loading screens?

When you compare Portal servers to AoW matchmaking, Portal maps load a lot faster, because the server is still running. In AoW they spin up a server instance, load the map, and populate the server with players, who then need to load the map data, after the match the server is shutdown.
My expectation is, that this whole process only starts, when there are enough players in matchmaking for a region, before they spin up a new server.
It is also noticeable that the wait time is immensely reduced, when you a matched to a already running match.
