It is not that uncommon. According to this article BF V was on sale a week after it was released.

@CantGetRight It really is uncommon and generally a bad sign. We are only just over a month past the official launch day lol. BFV was also a very rocky launch. Games that launch well don't get discounted like this for months if not a year or so. PS5 games still aren't this cheap, even launch games like Demon Souls.

BF4 was, at the time the fastest selling Battlefield game released in October 2013.
