@VOLBANKER_PC What's the difference if someone bunny hops once before shooting at you or 12 times? I think there is some sort of cool down or penalty, or at the very least, you can't gain momentum with it. That's why there were cool-downs implemented in the first place, to stop people from moving faster than they should be able to.
The real problem is what the server shows you versus what they see while playing. I've pointed this out numerous times, but geometry and vaulting play a big part in this as well. If you strafe on uneven surfaces, you can move further then you normally would on just flat ground. It can look quite jarring to other players as well.
I don't think bunny hopping is a real issue. I also don't trust Dice at the moment to not just destroy movement in pursuit of something like this. BF2042 in my opinion feels the best movement wise out of the entire franchise.
To sum it up, bad hit reg, lower tick rates, geometry, vaulting (pulls your character to objects rather then having to stand next to them, shows character warping) are the real issue here. Movement in 2042 is one of the best parts.
People moving around weird could be cheating with macros or somehow manipulating the network. Some people have what looks like constant packet loss. I have no idea how they do it, if they're even intentionally doing it, but it's very consistent and very noticeable round after round being done by the same player.
