Give us an updated BF4 and make us feel like an army again

I pre-ordered (mug) and I gave this version (2042) a really good go, I put quite a number of hours in hoping I'd find the game in it... I've now given up.

Can't say I've played in a few weeks as there isn't much to make me come back!?

Re-work BF4 with all the maps and you'd have a winner because what we have now is now very, very dull and a lonely experience.

One of the best (if not the best) parts of BF4 is that you felt part of a team when you were in a fire fight.  People working together to fight for the win.  Now it's just people running around hoping the counter works in there favour.

Well I doubt anyone will read this... I just needed to get it off my chest as I feel ripped off by this whole fiasco.

I could go on but I'm sure it's all been said in this thread 😉

  • @SiCK-MCR We need VOIP, ribbons for spawns/deflecting bullets, the ability to change squads, a commander mode, and a couple infantry only maps

  • I mean there is no need for a BF 4 make over version. I agree on that. But to call 2042 right on track is just...i dunno, weird?

Basic elements are still missing. NO Global chat alone and just an insult, IMO. No one has suffered depression after * talk in a video game. Its all part (or was) of the fun. I feel it gives dice too much slack calling this release OK. You have to realize that this game shipped bare bones. No single player, only 7 maps, 22 weapons for the full price. Everything else has been scaled back too. BF 1 looks better and sounds better. Im actually liking the specialists abilities. I love hacking a Heli and take it down quickly. So thats cool. But i wouldn't call it on the right track. Also the story they build, the early trailers, the final game resembles nothing of how they marketed this *.

    @Buzzfunk I am having a blast!
Don’t be sad that’s just how it works out some times! 🤣
  • Oh that made me laugh!....I've never started a thread before, glad to see people have a sense humour about this 🙂

Might as well have a laugh eh?!

@SiCK-MCR Ya and I truly understand how it feels to expect one thing and get another. Same thing TFC to TF2 for me years ago.
But ya gotta laugh at some point😊
  • @SiCK-MCR Wait a minute. All of those Rush matches in Battlefield 4 when my team was defending on the Dawnbreaker map where more than half of them would be camping the rooftops on the final objective as we were trying desperately to not get steamrolled.

Yes. They were on the rooftop even though the objective area that we were supposed to be defending was in the lobby area and parking lot on the ground level. You are right. the teamwork in Battlefield 4 was the best in the freakin' series.

We could easily go to conquest on the same map and see the same crap. People having rooftop parties when all of their objectives were red and controlled by the other team. It is the same people that were playing Battlefield 4 that are currently stinking it up in Battlefield 2042. It has nothing to do with the quality of this game.

@SiCK-MCR i'm laughing cause we dont have a choice we cant change the game features by our selves.
dice have it's own vision about the games on the future and how it should be i respect that.
but we have our needs now.
i dont need to enjoy the games in the future i need to enjoy now that's it.

I said in a previous rant about me quitting this game, that the deciding factor in BF2/3/4 was that I made so many videos of fantastic moments of skill, kills, laughs etc. In BFV, the videos became less and in 2042, non-existant. There is nothing worthy of the time to record and edit, the game is bland.

BF4 is where me and the clan are now and back to good times.

  • “An updated version” Like new maps, new guns, new attachments. What’s sad is BF4 was released in 2013 and with its out dated graphics it still stomps the crap out of 2042.

AND No, it didn’t have this many issues when it was released. On PS4 rubber banding was the biggest issue and it’s massively improved upon by the following February.

    2042, has no direction.
