This is to be a happy fun game..why on earth would EA do that.
They had it in BF4 and it was awesome
- @opsis_1 Even though I don't like hardcore at ALL, it's very easy to add and if it helps a niche, why not?

I fully support hardcore for that reason even though I would never set a digital foot into it.

Maybe one dark night we can lure you into one of those shady masochistic HC servers and give you a special BF treatment to make you really feel alive again in a new way in the BF world? 😎
Jokes aside, I agree that EA should simply just make HC as a fixed mode next to the standard mode. Really not hard to do, as all the relevant parameters are there already. Reason why I name it 'simply'. Having a named HC mode also makes it possible for all to easily search for and find exactly the gaming experience they want.
('server browser' is another area where we still miss answers back on from EA on the BF2042 environment)
- @CyberDyme Played a lot of HC as a Repair Monkey in BF3 and that was canny, but HC infantry? No thanks, not my idea of fun.
