GOL sniper: Bug or silent nerf ???
Hi,
Since today's patch the GOL sniper doesn't one shot in uper chest anymore (any distance).
Is it a bug or Dice just "forgive" this in the patch note ?

- @l_Grand_Vizir_l GOL was able to one-shot kill anyone, anywhere on their body, within 50m since it was introduced - it shouldn't have been able to do that. This was probably another QA fail. I haven't tried the weapon since yesterday's update but I wouldn't be surprised if they corrected their QA fail.
I know how it worked... It was 49m by the way.

BUT:
Going from 49m to nothing seems a very hard nerf, especially when other snipers still OS in the chest... And we have nothing about it in the patch note.
Soo two possibilities:
- Dice did it on purpose and just "forget" to tell us in the patch note.
- Dice failed and this is not intended... Wouldn't be the 1st time. They might have tried to reduce the distance and failed, or maybe they did nothing on purpose and we have a new bug...
Who knows actually? Dice?
I've seen nothing from devs about "it shouldn't have been able to do that" (doesn't mean they didn't say anything, i just can't find anything on this).
My point is, the NTW50 OS at farest distances (don't remeber, 149m i think), SWS10 and DXR1 OS at a less distance (19m) but have far more attachments and ammo types... I mean 49m was good but it was the advantage of this riffle compare to the 3 others.
Now GOL looks quite weak compare to others.
Soo i would like an answer from someone who really knows if it was done on purpose.

- @l_Grand_Vizir_l Thanks for bringing it up, I felt something was off but I could not decide.
considering its high fire rate and muzzle velocity, the GOL magnum should definitely not have a One body shot kill range of 50 m....
@Metal_Daryl97Maybe it was hailing to the magnum rounds days?
Do you have the official stats for the gun like velocity?
- @Metal_Daryl97 exactly my point. Both the DXR and SWS one shot range is 20m. The 49m one shot kill on the GOL was most likely another error on DICE's part, which they silently removed.
If all other snipers can OS... Making the GOL the only one who can't is a drastic nerf you could agree.
I wouldn't have been surprised by a reduction of the OS range, but bringing it to 0 looks weird.
Yes the GOL has a good fire rate, but also a very small magazine, one ammo type, very limited optical choices, etc. etc. When comparing to others the GOL goes from pretty good to "why should i use this one?"
I suspect a mistake from Dice, but can be wrong... So i would like to know if DIce did voluntarily or is it really a mistake.

So yeah, usually i get this kind replies: If you want OS kill, you shoot head.
@Man_iLoveFishingSeing how you discus whith players who have a different opinion with you on some subject, forbidding them to give a review because you feel they are too bad players to have the right to give their opinion. I'm hapilly surprised that you still get kind replies.
However i'm not surprised that your answer brings more salt than subtlety to the question here.
Or maybe you you didn't read before posting, here is a simple question: A change has been made and nothing is in the patch note.
It may be a bug (Dice does this all the time), it may be a silence nerf (Dice does it all the time).
Players will be free to debate about balance then, but it's not the subject here.
