Well at least we know for certain what direction they want to take this game. For the second time they went in funky direction trying to standardize BF to current FPS titles. Now it’s just up to the community to find the drive to move on. Hell Let Loose is a good option.
Being a huge BF fan, it makes me sad to see such a great game go in this common direction. But we need to realize that it’s no longer developed by Battlefield loving Devs that play the game with the community because they love to play BF.
Now it’s just one of a thousand games in EA’s spreadsheet, with a million data points comparing it to other EA software titles to gauge its success.
Why do we still think that these fixes are to make the “community” happy? We have to look at past behavior and read between the announcement lines to figure out how these/this decisions monetarily benefit(s) the game.
