Don't know if you read a prior post I made during the Beta session, where I claimed that we actually were not playing the Core BF2042 Orbital game in the open Beta but instead EA had used their own Portal editor to give us that as a standard "experience" instead? And my reason for that claim...
Fate would have it that me and a few friends when playing together during the Beta suddenly found ourselves able to also pick the BF3 soldiers! So indeed we all played in a Portal Experience during the Beta and not in the Core section. Personally I had absolutely nothing against that, as when it comes to it, its all the same thing in the end. If EA or we ourselves use the Portal to setup a certain map and gameplay scenario, it doesn't matter.
But now here to please you, when I go back in and check the BF3 soldier loadout options, then I can see your dear G3 is there alright for you! 👍
Surprisingly, certainly to me, I observed that the BF3 Assault class will only have 4 assault rifles from the get go. But at least you got your favorite meat-shredder there! 😎

I was aware it was in portal as they released a list with some of the guns a while back, but i *didn't know you could actually glitch it and try it during the beta, i only got the character select screen to appear once, now i'm mildly jealous!
Edit: Oh, and if they ever add ziba tower to portal, make *that* 128 players and spawn a tank on the tanning deck and have 4 little birds in the air.
Wouldn't be so much of a round a single large 5 second explosion and it's all over.
