Dedicated Portal lobbies allow for HC rulesets if I'm remembering correctly so you still have that to fall back on. I believe DICE said they want to move on from your traditional HC experienece, at least for 2042 (I mean, adding friendly fire to a game where everyone looks the exact same can't possibly go well)
@TTZ_Dipsy they destroyed hardcore mode in portal since you were not able to get xp points. Hardcore must be ALWAYS as main mode
