100% need Hardcore mode in Battlefield 2042.
I quess the answer to this wish is Battlefield Portal.
As long as the portal is ranked I don't mind.
Please explain do you mean ranked matchmaking. I don't feel "timed played" as BF ranks usually go would not be okey, but a CS/Chess like ranking would be great.

With the portal parameter settings we can fiddle around with, we can make servers that fully replicate the classic 'hardcore mode' and such server will also be ranked and count towards player soldier's ranking up their XP and weapon experience. So we are officially all set for proper and complete HC mode in the BF2042 Portal !
- @CyberDyme I don't thinks that hope on the Portal be as Hardcore mode is good idea. It would be like Community servers in BFV. You will manually check every "HC" called server, each of them will be different, some would have 100 hp, some 60 hp, some would allow friendlyfire, some would allow minimap.
I think Dice should run official Hardcore mode and official Hardcore servers on the launch to stick HC community together and provide classic HC mode as it was in BF3 and 4
