Older BF veterans like Hardcore.
Thats whats BF for me/us is about. Without it its a Kids game.
But let them fix the sound first of this BF2042.
AS it was in BF1.
Yeah, the folks I play with on PS are mostly my age 50+ with other in their 30's / 40's. ....a couple are in their 20s but act a lot more mature than their age.
We all love more slower, tactical shooters. One's with more lethality to them and consequences for stupid actions. None of us are really into run & gun shooters with the exception of games like GTAV, RDR2, etc. ....but even in those, the gunplay is more about cover to cover engagements. I just don;t have the reflexes or patience for the pacing in the other modes in BF2042 (besdie Portal) and with no option for hardcore, I won't likely be playing those (only Portal).
We prefer hardcore modes and even with Portal, I'm really sad that an HC option is not included in the other modes.
Not sure if anyone cares but Karmakut was doing a livestream test in Portal trying to set up a milsim Experience. ....or as close to it as he could. I watched the first 30 minutes or so and will likely pick back up where I left off later. There is some good information on some of the settings he has tweaked )and plans to tweak) to get a better TTK, more realistic run speed, bullet velocity, etc. Here's the video if anyone is interested.
