For some it's elements that replicate what we've had in past hardcore modes in other BF iterations. ....for others, it's more realistic or "milsim" aspects. ....or maybe simply the ability to cut back on movements speed, increase TTK, remove certain HUD elements, removal of sci-fi gadgets, markers, etc.
Personally, I've been able to create Experiences in Portal using more hardcore-like changes by using the options such as headshot damage, torso damage, global damage, movement speed, projectile speed, health regeneration and so on. I've been able to make it more challenging and slower paced.
Am i completely satisfied? .....no. Do I wish there were more detailed ways to turn on/off elements of the HUD, force 1st person in vehicles, etc., etc.? ....you bet.
