Having the same exact hero on both sides of the field is unimaginative

I cannot fathom why EA/DICE thought having the same exact hero with the same exact face and the same exact backstory on both sides was a good idea Why am I seeing Falck/Boris/Mackay/Irish/Paik/Angel...

I could say they were lazy only having 2 different factions in BF3 and three different factions in BF4.  Especially since there were many more factions in BF2.
