I am confused as well....
Is everything "nowadays" with a price tag locked behind a paywall as well??
It is part of the whole Battlefield 2042 package, to me they seem like they are offering a lot.
if it were to be free, I am sure lots of people would play, but then hackers and microtransactions that bother a lot of people.
but it is also squads only and that hardcore type a thing, I guess i am thinking along the lines of not noob/ casual friendly as opposed to Warzone how it is, is open to casuals more entry level friendly, but who's to say the could not implement a more openish type of mode from it.
If it is not your type of game mode then it is what it is.... just gotta find one/ try one that fits yourself
I think it looks cool, will I try it? maybe
will it be for me? probably not
Do I think DICE expect it to be as popular as Warzone or become popular? I feel like no, but that's my feeling and I don't want to speak for them, just my instinct, but they most likely have the tools for themselves to adjust things and open up more game modes and such more so now than ever, again just my feeling....
Also I feel like people are gonna get their * handed to them in their lol.
I think what would make a difference to me is if there was a more casual friendly game mode, like example
I don't hate Warzone or COD for that matter. but I did have fun playing Plunder and other off shoot types of modes, like war pigeons in BF 1 also zombies for a bit anyway
Seems more like the elite type of game mode nothing wrong w that,
but I just want to shoot things and blow s* up and have fun doing it.
Why should it be free exactly?
I mean I remember the days of expansions, but I guess they were locked behind pay walls (which I didn't have a problem with in any games and I would still prefer them today like a MGSV expansion ) but those would skew the player base for multiplayer games
now there is microtransactions all over ( which don't bother me either...)
same with that new truck for 95k$ stupid thing is locked behind a paywall, that TV, my damn internet service locked behind a paywall, Xbox live, PS plus, even tho I bought and busted down the paywall to get a PS or Xbox,
freaking 401k plan AAHHHH I mean when the day comes that employment is locked behind a paywall well that's just....... oh wait, taxes..... S.O.B
But if you were to make a shooter game let's say and cater to all potential players, what would you do that differs your game and stands out beyond all the others?
How would you balance said game?
How would you keep everyone playing constantly, never leave ,make them happy and continue to garner even more players ?
Do you make it 100% free to play or charge for it ?
Do you make any money for yourself ? or just do it with your own time with no income ?
I am honestly asking those questions.
I don't mean to seem like it is directed at you either, just read a lot and stuffs
I apologize if any of it seems so or I sound like a smartass,
I just mean in a general sense of things / my own personal way of thinking and perspective.
Thanks
take care
