Headset: Xbox Series X
So the foam ear piece on my current set has torn off. They still work but the xushion falls off so it isn't ideal. They've been good to me but I'm ready to move to some new ones. I thought I'd get ...
@xVultureI'm very much not a headset snob. I use the headset when I need the game quiet (no audio via TV), or the odd time my Son-In-Law is also on, so we use VoIP.
I will say, however, that I have a years-old Turtle Beach headset - designed for Xbox Series so it's a wireless headset. Really nice feature is that the "arm" for the microphone folds back into the ear-piece - so no ripping it off when storing it.
It looks like this one : https://www.turtlebeach.com/products/black-stealth-gen-2-xbox-700-max
So far it has survived my lack of coordination, my skills of piling stuff on top of other stuff, and my habit of just grabbing something and pulling it out of where it's hiding.
It is also has pretty good audio - not audiophile level good, but plenty good enough for gaming.
Rechargeable battery built in - 40 hours use per charge.
And best of all, it's $180 at Turtle Beach website. (I purchased my from Walmart)
And finally, it's Certified for Xbox, which means that it will not be rejected with the upcoming XBOX update that is coming with lock-out of non certified product - bye bye XIM etc.
