Headshot multipliers

What's everyone's stance with the way HSM's are set in 2042? 

Does anyone think all headshots should have the same multiplier regardless of weapon? 

Do you think all weapon categories should have different multipliers? 

Are HSM's too strong or too weak? How do they affect TTK in your opinion? 

Are AR's and the G57 pistol more powerful than SMG's at pretty much all capable ranges in the right hands? 

How would you guys set about balancing weapons and what are your thoughts?

    At least they penetrate the skin, not like some SOB shield 😉

  • I personally think more focus on recoil, spread, hip fire control, accuracy, handling, ROF, damage per bullet, ADS speed etc should be the way to balance weapons rather than varying HSM's. Hitting headshots should reward higher damage across the board but there's no need for differing multipliers for certain categories of weapons. 

    If AR's had the same HSM as SMG's what would change? AR's are still better at range and SMG's are still better up close due to the difference in characteristics mentioned above. 

    IMO a superior HSM on an AR just adds to unnecessary imbalance and its the same with all weapons with varying HSM's. 

  • 90% of the smgs are worse than the AR's or even the glock at close range. Higher headshot multiplier would incentivize accuracy instead of just aiming body. In it's current state you must hit all headshots in order to get a ttk difference with smgs which is unreasonable in 99% of situations.
