I basically fly the apache and hokum only in this game and I have more than 1000 hrs in both together.
I must disagree for the most part on this, not totally but mostly.
first of all the attack heli comes with 2 players a pilot and a gunner, only in this combination the attack heli is really strong
the wildcat comes also with 3 slots, but its only mostly one guy inside campin with the wildcat. if 2 players play the wildcat with a flak pod on the other seat it is very powerful vs attack helis basically vs every aircraft.
secondly wildcat players are mostly not good players, they dont use their environment to cover at all. they dont use Irish APS, nor do they use smoke to cloud themelves intelligently. they are just like sitting ducks. they dont focus on the aircraft, they ignore the fact that the aircraft is up again and come completely unprepared. they dont look at the map where the heli is while they spawn it. simply speaking again the genuine wildcat players dont play clever
I have encountered good wildcat players, who were definetely a threat to attack helis, they would call it on the field instead spawning it in base. they would move and smoke and shoot so that they were hard to hit. they would not give away their position. they would surprise the aircraft. they would play the wildcat in a squad with flak pod and melt aircraft. basically they would play clever. there are more things which they would do, which Im not gonna share because,
it is definetely a skill issue
and you are just too lazy to practice good wildcat playing and also you lack the social skills to find other players to team up with you to play the wildcat effectively you just come here to let your frustration out. you see none of u in this post here offer tactics how to do better, all u do is cry for buffs or nerfs. even if they buff the cat, players like you would still get farmed, simply bc and again you dont want to practice, you want it the easy way and when u read my reply u feel offended instead of inspired. I dont mean to be mean and if you take my reply the wrong way. like emotionally, its ur bad experiences u made in ur life that make u understand this as an attack on you, if you do so you deserve to get farmed

Even then: when locked just fly away, fire rediciously fast regenerating flares, duck behind buildings or lower hight and locks are lost. When airplane locks on you're toast. Not much this.kitten can do anymore. Don't talk about skill if you don't have the.tools

I must add one more thing.
Im often farming lobbies with my gunners, who are the best players around the world in this game
I bet a 100 bucks that almost no one of you flies regularly the attack heli and farms big time bc when u do so the whole god damn lobby is after you. you dont know how it feels to be chased by squads of lis, seeing 3 or more lock ons being constantly displayed, having m5s flying all the time near you, being hacked constantly, all the vehicles and enemy aircraft and up to a few days ago dealing with one shots from tors all across on top of that. in a lot of games half of the game 20 players only focussing you with everything they got. you dont know how this feels and I dont complain, it is what it is, but you complain about 2 or 3 players in the sky. just because youre lazy to develop skills.
edit: In the meantime I checked on the stats of most players here, as I knew b4hand none of you really fly. so as I already said before, you bascially dont know what ure talking about, but u think u do. also I have more or less the same amount of hrs in the wildcat like most of you here and I felt like I never play it
I was completely right about this just being a rage post from frustrated ppl, you see the numbers, your numbers, your stats dont lie. people lie, 1+1=2 but u are the ones that will always bend it to 1+1=3, although the facts are on the table
this is pathetic
- 2 years ago@cyromilia I 100% agree with you, whenever I duo and dominate in the attack heli or stealth heli, you get those players who next level salt and spend the entire game chasing you, lis rocket spam and then everyone acts like anyone can go 100-0 every single game with heli without any logic or knowledge how hard it is to fly and do well, let alone survive the salty boys chasing you down.
to be fair this is never ending debate, no matter how much you speak and try to convince people it's a skill issue they will NEVER listen, some people REFUSE to accept other players can be better, everyone has the tools to kill the heli, and to learn the heli themselves to kill it, but most just want EA to hold their hand to change the game to their needs and wants.
Facing a real squad who uses comms and teamwork you will not survive in the heli, but if you look around in most games people don't even own a mic, let alone try to do any teamwork.

I think you're a bit delusional with this whole skill thing. The Wildcat isn't a high skill ceiling vehicle. I'm not sure what you're going on about. It's not that deep or complicated. I do everything right with it, but it's not an effective tool. Simple as that. I was a huge Tank nerd for years in BF games, and I understand positioning and timing very well. That's probably my strongest ability in the BF series.
The best players aren't gunners for attack Heli's LMAO. How did you get to that conclusion? It's one task they have to be good at, and that's simply aiming. I can go ham too when I have a decent pilot. It's not hard, I don't have robot like aim, but I'm pretty damn decent. It's not that difficult. The problem isn't skill at all, it's the poor balancing and giving the tools for some average players to completely destroy a lobby.
It's ironic that you bet we don't fly, but then you admitted that you don't really play infantry. There's only a couple spots open for Heli's, so most people spend the majority of their time on the ground as infantry. You're saying that you don't have much experience on the other end, and you don't play like a normal BF player. You wait in que just to fly the a Heli.
Also, the gunners and people that usually live in the Helicopters in this game are usually slightly above to just average infantry players. I've seen maybe one exception in my personal experience.

Just give up. DICE are never going to address the OP air vehicles in this game, despite all the feedback for months from infantry players.
I already see that they've already reversed the nerf to jets with 24 hours of the last patch, that basically just made them a bit slower (possibly making them easier to shoot). Within 24 hours - that's been reversed. Meanwhile the extensive rework for engineers, is to basically make 2 of them useless and give 1 of them an extra rocket.
Just give up. 2042 is for pilots and DICE don't care about anyone else.

you see youre not even sure what im going on about, although I expressed myself more than clearly.
and you expect that someone who really knows the game would beleive you. u know Id like to beleive you.
but its more likely that u are that you are not good enough with the wildcat as I said in my edit I checked ur stats
u dont have enough experience to really know what ure talkin about. Ive written b4 I had players with the wildcat controlling the enemy aircraft, strong enemy aircraft. for this u have to be exceptional. and these guys were exceptional.
but no, u say u do everything right with the cat...no u havent! you can still improve
its just blind rage vs helis one more time and u know it urself already but dont have the courage to admit it
edit: there are 25 players on this planet that have played this game more than I did.
and I have to say one more unqualified response like that "Im doing everything right" although having a couple of hrs only in the wildcat and Im out of this post here

And stop being dramatical about infantry not having enough counter options. They do and some are very good at it, it's called detication, like I've deticated most of my time piloting.
There are games where you can't get out of main base due to lockon and Lizz spams and constant hacking. And let's not forget, wildcat that has 800m lockon distance, if heli gets close to you and you are not aware, sadly its gonna be checkmate.
Atm this series has most anti air weapons than ever bf history had. Bf4 attack helo gunners seat was way more op.- UP_Hawxxeye2 years agoLegend
@Man_iLoveFishing
How does the new rao hack feels for a pilot btw? I did not had time to test it yet
