@RaginSamDice are pilot fanbois. For some reason no-one at Dice cares about the 60+ ground players in a server, all that matters is that jet or helo pilots can go 100-0 every round.
In every game since BF2, anything that can shoot down a jet or helo gets nerfed into the ground, because DICE listen to pilot whiners every single time.
What's the point of using a dedicated anti-air vehicle when it can't even do the job it's designed to do. Getting in one is a death sentence when a little bird or stealth helo is around.
Meanwhile the Helos get magic flares, infinite ammo, ability to repair in-flight with passengers and/or magic auto-repairs (don't have to land these days even), guns that can murder anything in the game, missiles and rockets that are impossible to avoid and overpowered damage wise, don't get auto-killed if they get hit by a tank shell or rocket launcher, are basically immune to any small arms damage, and where heavy machine guns do nothing more than scratch damage instead of absolutely wrecking them like a 50 cal machine gun should, and get to bounce off trees and buildings instead of exploding.
AP rounds still do no real damage, flares being as the most powerful as theyve ever been in a BF game, the maps being all (barring 2) too small for proper vehicle gameplay, redzones for ground ALL AROUND where helis can easily sit in and farm from there, and a hard counter called the WildCat that is food for any experienced AH crew. It cant even outdamage the AH from medium to long distances.
All the lessons learned from previous BF games all went overboard when DICE worked on BF2042.
