Hi DICE/EA. I had a really good time with the battlefield 2042 beta but could I please just say are you planning to change the controls for the helis and jets for the launch? The reason I am asking is because I really enjoyed how the helis played and I actually played well with them. I just am a bit worried that you will completely change the controls and how the helis will handle come launch. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DICE keep the how the helis handle and don't change a thing? Thank you

on which platform are u playing ?? i am playing on Console (xbox one x and now on deries x)As an old Bf3/Bf4 veteran on console i am realy pissed about the controlls of helicopters because the switched two settings I dont know why we need in every BF game new settings to play the game.If u want the old settings u needer to set it on "alternative" but it got changed.How it should be :BF3/BF4 Left stick :(left/right) Roll Right Stick:(up/down) Nod (left/right) Yaw In BF2042 its like thisLeft stick:(left/right) YawRight Stick:(up/down) Nod (left/right) Roll

I personally would like the controls from BF4 we had for choppers and jets. Movement could need some adjustments tho. Greets, Travis

Sorry nothing personal but I suggest you go and try helicopters in Battlefield 3 or 4 on PC first. Describing BF2, 3 or 4 flying as "janky" or "unresponsive" is just a lie. Nowhere near was it as responsive and agile as in earlier PC titles. It was clearly designed for controller players and all the movement was more restricted; i.e. rolling the heli on it's side made the heli fly sideways instead of making it start to roll.I know they probably won't fix it because they are obsessed with crossplay and because of this have just developed identical flying mechanics for both PC and consoles. Well only time will tell, I do hope joystick controls are properly implemented.

@alexironhide1997 we don't know yet if they'll do a complete change on the settings again but there is a possibility it can happen as many people (aka Battlefield veterans) are used to different controls for flying. But i guess the changes we might get are simply the changes to be able to change controls yourself by the given presets. Like changing from "default" to like "veteran" on certain controls and we all should good to go with the right changes. I don't think they will do this type of changes that we all have to stick with only one single possibility to control it. Greets, Travis

I loved the heli controls. Heli's felt responsive. I sucked at them in BF4. Some heli pilots with 5 centuries worth of heli time want the controls to be retuned to janky and unresponsive so no one other than them has any interest in picking heli's in the deploy screen.

In BF2042 its like this

@larry_54235well if u set ur conrtolls on alternative in tanks, helis and jets its gonna be the old bf3/bf4 setting we know

RT and LT was never changed and remained the same up and down.
sry the picture is in german but its from bf 4
the only things they chnaged are marked (two settings got switched from the right stick to left and back)

@Its_Travis_199 i hope it, i edited my post with a picture from my bf3/bf4 setting.

the two marked settings are shown got flipped from one stick to the other and back.

@BaronVonGoon well, every player has different preferences and also what they're used to from previous titles.

This is your opinion and I'm glad you like it that way it is now.

But nothing would be wrong to just add another option to be able to change controls if someone wants to use like "Classic" or "Veteran" settings ect.

Adding another option to change controls doesn't break the world 😉

Thank you for your reply to my topic I honestly wasn't expecting anyone to put a comment on my post so thank you for that. It wouldn't bother me so much if that were to be the case, I understand that many players like to master the flying vehicles in battlefield games and that's fine with me. I just found the heli and jet controls to be very complicated in battlefield 4...I do try now and again to see if I can figure them out, but every time I do I fail badly. I got really excited when I could actually fly the helis in 2042 beta and loved flying them. It did take a few matches to figure out what does what, but, I eventually sussed them out in the end. I am very excited for the launch of 2942 I just hope that DICE don't go out whacky with the flying controls and hope they can find a balance between the veteran players who like a deeper flying system and for new comers who aren't so familiar.
