@NoonsYo Im intrigued as someone who has both piloted helis a lot and also shot many down as infantry with AA rockets what exactly youre struggling with. You force them to flare and run off repeatedly or you force flare then shoot them down if they stick around.
The range of AA missiles is much further than most effective weapons fire from a Heli - If youre using cover and have jets/other helis on your team going after them they shouldnt be able to get within range to do more than pop a few shots before taking off and having to hide.
Also you mean they do things that heli's do and are intended to do if not properly deterred? Hovercraft have literally nothing on a heli - they're a transport vehicle and should be so - they're not a tank.
2 shots on a light infantry vehicle should not destroy the vehicle that quick, the damage is too high.
Yeah, flare is forced, they duck and cover, come back 30 seconds later to do it again. Helicopters are overpowered

@NoonsYo Did you consider that you likely got hit by a TOW missile? The same thing that will nearly one shot a humvee too? A weapon that is quite difficult to use properly and requires you to be super exposed for long periods of time.
What im getting from this is that you've never piloted a helio if you think that they're hard to deter as they're really not - all you need is 2-3 people with AA rockets in the middle or front of an objective.- NoonsYo4 years agoNot applicable
Its not a tow missle LOL. Its the nightbird diving on point while flaring and destroying everything to wait for cooldown to come back and do it again. TOO OVERPOWERED, how you can deny it is a joke to me - like all the other broken things....you just want easy kills maybe?

Because a nightbird moves much slower than an attack helio and is incredibly easy to kill with an AA rocket if they commit for more than a quick pop shot.
If I wanted easy kills I would pilot a Jet or drive a Tank.
Again this sounds like you dont ever use AA rockets and certainly dont ever fly

That's broken balance.

@Tank2042Man You clearly havent flown Heli either, as its like 15 seconds between each ATG missile minimum, theres no "with hardly any delay"

@Necromantion
I have been locked on to, been hit by the missile and a few seconds later the chopper locks on to me again and I get hit again and then a few seconds later another lock on and I was blown up.
Same chopper hit me 3 times with 3 lock on missiles in quick succession.
It doesn't take 15 seconds for the chopper to lock on after the first hit.
They literally lock on again within a few seconds after the first missile hits.
It's totally OP and they need to nerf it.And to add to this I have had my tanks health reduced to 20% from one lock on chopper missile and the rocket pods.
20% health after one encounter is OP and reeks of BF3s attack chopper vs tank broken balance.
I grant choppers should have the upper hand but that kind of balance is garbage.
BF4 did it right and one major reason was tank APS. In 2042 we have nothing to protect us while we wait for an opportunity to take a pot-shot at the chopper.
