I believe that the assumption is that they buy the game again to continue cheating or something.
But from what I hear, the worst cheaters are just using stolen accounts.

@UP_Hawxxeye I don't believe that is a solid assumption. As you said the worst cheaters have ways around this and won't even get caught, they spend their money on cheat software and stolen accounts not on EA. The ones that get caught and get banned most likely give up on this game and try their luck elsewhere instead of reinvesting in this game again.
If EA would really make money out of banning cheaters they would do much more effort and do so, as we all know how much they like money.

if so then why is there only "a way around" when it comes to gaming software? why dont you have such things on software where you can actually make/steal real money?
no they wouldnt, bcs if you ban someone instantly they wouldnt come back anymore (no dopamine) but if you leave a tiny gap open, let them play for a while and then ban... its the dopamine rush that makes cheaters buy again. since counterstrike 1.6.

oh and i forgot... what do you think is the reason for banning accounts only but not macids or hardware prints?
