Very true, that's the bit I can't understand either, it is never consistently one way or the other.
The game is pretty much unplayable when this is happening and it is certainly not enjoyable in this state.
DICE please sort this major issue asap.
@RayD_O1 I am also noticing it match to match a lot. I am thinking it is related to the server or instance I am in/on. Maybe a Server Browser would help because I could find a server that matches my ping the best and just stay on that one all day.

- @RayD_O1 Could it be since we don’t have server browsers someone like myself on the west coast is put into a server in say UK? Causing just the slightest lag? I have no idea about these things so I’m just assuming.

I am lucky enough to have around 20 ping on servers but I have no idea what other players pings are on those same servers as their ping does not show on the scoreboard like in previous BF's.
Out of interest, what sort of pings are you getting yourself when you do get in to play.?
