Yes, I hope we have a choice. As I've already said, I do not care about having them in multiplayer, but I know some do. So PLEASE give us a choice. With the maps being as large as they are, we're most likely going to have to play against them, whether we like it or not.
True that, It should be a choice for each personal player. It's not like it's a Free 2 play game, everyone is purchasing the game, they should get the experience they want.

From what I've gathered about bots, it 'seems' like they will be a separate option for anyone that wants to roll the game either solo or with friends.
Hopefully they will incorporate options that will appeal to both sides.
You could be right. Someone at EA changed the briefing page for Battlefield 2042, and doesn't mention anything about AI soldiers. Here is an old quote that it used to say.
"Multiplayer – AI soldiers are used for server-filling capabilities, ensuring your matches remain full, no matter your location."
Either I misplaced the location of the AI bot info, or they changed it altogether.
