@ChusmaConArmasConsidering what they call "content" I imagine them making any changes to maps along the lines of what you laid out, they'd almost definitely call that "content". Just like how the reworked maps count as "content".
I'll happily eat crow if I'm wrong on this, I'm just saying, outside of what they already announced for this season and maybe some bug fixes here and there, I wouldn't expect any major changes going forward.

Next and last content drop is April 30th after that all we can expect is bug fixes and what ever fun things that give us to do in-between until the next BF game comes out. - 2 years ago

Changing some capture areas, respawn locations is something that can be in no time.
But, I played team deathmatch yesterday, and saw the team deathmatch map of "Valparaiso".
And I though, who did this? They cant do a simple team deathmach map?
- Anobix2 years agoSeasoned Ace@ChusmaConArmas You're making an assumption that they still have any map design developers on staff
- 2 years ago@Anobix is correct and I would even say:
From all they have communicated we can safely assume there is only one person actively supporting BF2042. If we are lucky. most likely only one internship student. And then also not full time.
Don't expect anything other than 'releasing' (setting some tag) to make the existing content available to us. Everything that we will get from now on is done. If they bring new 'events', they are already created and I would actually only expect re-releases of past events rather than new events. New weapons -- take them from the pool already data mined and not released (like the new IR option DannyOnPC just showed).
In the past they even had the audacity to call weapon skins 'content'. I guess, this time is over, but even then I would not even expect new skins. The later is fine with me as even after well over 1000h of BF2042 I am still running default skins on all my sold^H^H^H^Hspecialists and weapons and could not care less for this stuff. But that might just be me.
