When they said they were going to shrink it they definitely were not joking 😂.
Haven’t played conquest but on breakthrough the games move a lot faster.
if you have strong defenders it’s easy to win at the first flag.

Still one of the worst maps in the whole BF history...

Definitely not a fan -
They took out the one element that had any viability to keep it going - The Stadium, the one place you didn't have to worry about tanks, planes and helicopters and you have to actually FIGHT over the objective, not 1, but 2 of them.
Then, the bridge was a very much viable coverage position to fight to protect the old "C" Objective.
Breakthrough? Dont even get me started on that. Total mess. If you are defenders, you are pretty much guaranteed a win if you stage up your assets correctly. Assault, you better be a full on E-Sports team or have 65% or better of the team as a Clan on comms.

As a long-lasting BF series fun, I must say that the map improved in some aspects. I think that older fans of the series might find the map more playable.
Overall, the city area is still poorly crafted due to the fact that the devs try hard to make locations 1:1 to objects in real life. I can hardly call the city area a proper urban design for the game. Devs should finally realize that original maps in the BF series were downscaled by at least 50% to what might be found on google maps. Look at the SIege of Shanghai or Dawnbreaker devs, not to mention Strike at Karkand. Look at the CS GO map design also and the close-range gunning mechanic. Some of the map areas have to be adjusted to 32-player Domination/TDM game mode. The maps have to be compatible with Rush also to be fun. Neglecting that only renders the gameplay really hard for infantry players. What`s good about the rework is some of the distance between the points. Players received an underground area as well. I don`t mind the stadium at all. There is some cover added as well so it is easier for me to survive an incoming tank. Spawn points are literally atrocious cuz usually players spawn in the plain open and get shot very easily. Visually the map is nothing ground-shaking and still, there is not enough destruction not to mention levolution. Overall I find the map more playable but there are some other things that make the overall experience trash.
So what`s causing the overall experience as disastrous? Well, after so many updates players do not fully comprehend their roles in the squad which renders co-operation between players even more useless than in previous iterations. The best option for me is to take either Zain or Lis and equip myself with a meta gun which is AS VAL. Just minding my teammates is not beneficial at all in 90 percent of cases. Lis has got a cooldown for rockets so I don`t have to chase Support across the map who turns out to have a med bag instead of ammo crate. There are no crates at flags with ammo as in BFV. Usually, 2 rockets are not enough to even threaten the vehicle. 2 rockets are not enough even to deter incoming choppers. Lis rockets are usually on par with the top velocity of a chopper so no point in chasing it at a distance. Other engineers do have not enough rockets on them (as in BF3 or 4 not to mention 2) and with even less incentive for players to utilize proper equipment. I feel like players don`t even mind playing as classes because this aspect is not shaped as in previous BFs. There are no stationary AT guns and no stationary AAs.
What makes things worse, is the fact that 2 attack choppers are available for each side on 64 map size Hourglass! Only 1 jet on each side! I mean who on earth thought it's a brilliant idea to implement 2 stealth choppers or 2 little birds for each side on the map where sand dunes are dominant? I am not against powerful vehicles. I would like to see powerful vehicles but there are serious problems with balancing them against infantry. Choppers seem over-maneuverable and really fast. Choppers do not have to refill or go for repairs, but simply hide behind a building and come back. In the meantime, I struggle to refill any rocket to at least deter them. Snipers do not even utilize Soflam goggles and the range is hilariously short. At this point, I would add at least 1 rocket to inventory and make reloads 15% longer, rockets should travel also a bit slower so players can`t snipe tanks or players with them at a distance. Specific vehicles and a number of them should have been determined by the level design and theater of war, otherwise, in-game balance and immersion are gone. Even calling vehicles is not enough and players are forced to traverse bigger distances than usual compared to previous BFs. I'm not gonna even try to play 128 player version.
There are many more things that make me roll my eyes when it comes to design choices.
Overall I give the map 6/10. The previous map version I would say was 4-5/10 which I enjoyed also in some way.
I think this would be a much more fun layout.

B-C-D is where most the action is. I was messing around on a 128 yesterday and some of the underground fire fights were so much fun. Reminded me of metro
