How are a bunch of friends(5+) supposed to play together on Battlefield 2042?

Question

It seems that Battlefield 2042 is limited to four friends playing together.&nbsp; Our clan sometimes has 5+ people who want to play together.&nbsp; How are we supposed to get this done?&nbsp; The battlefield titles in the past have always supported clans and made it easy to play with more than four people. Please help.

@ATFGunr Uncapping the 4 man party system on match making needs to be the first step in whatever they do with the squad system.

@MM_Newbob71 2042 devs have finally mentioned they’re working on fixing the current squad system. They haven’t announced what it will be. Since release the game has not supported clans, or even supported friends playing together. It’s the main reason why ATF Clan has stayed away (that and the last years worth of issues). There’s a crappy workaround, but it does work: You can start a party and join a server. One or more leave that party and start a new party. Other players can join that new party or the space left in the first party. Problem is at the end of the round, they may not all load into the next map. It’s pretty bad. I have low expectations for how they fix it. They’ve already said they won’t add a server browser or persist servers which would solve that issue.

@MM_Newbob71Our platoon has generally the same issue.What we to split into multiple parties and pray to Odin that the game will not split us between different teams.First we get one party with 4 people in.Then one or more split off to create their own party and get the rest to join us via the party system.

@MM_Newbob71Depending on the number of players we perform the dance as describe above if we are just 5 or 6 players. If we are more than 6, this does not work as the last players will have to wait in queue far too long for this to be a workaround that would be acceptable.What we do instead is to synchronize the time when we click 'Play' to start the match making (you need a &gt;2s delay to increase the likelihood to be placed in the same team) and call out the map that has been found (and the team we would be on) and click cancel if this does not align, say we would get Hourglass as a map or different maps (read: different servers) or would be placed on different teams.
