How can I play battlefield 2042 on PC with my PS4 friends?

Does anyone know how can I play battlefield 2042 with my friend that is playing on the ps4?

    The cross play is limited to the following

    xbox one (and xbox one x)  & PS4 (and ps4 pro)

    xbox series s / x & PS5 & PC.

    So your friend would need a next gen console in order to play. The reason is because the previous generation of consoles are limiting, so they have different version of the game which has a max of 64 players and does not include the largest map sizes.

    There is no equivalent on the PC to play with xbox one & PS4 players.

I am playing on PC and would like to know if I can download a nother version of the game so that I can play with my friend thats playing on the ps4
