Now, there are difficulty levels to them and some of them are straight hacklords... but I think most people agree that they need an upgrade.
Sometimes they behave like the annoying players. eg. While you sit in the gunner seat of an ITV to cover an attack on an objective, jump on the driver seat and drive away.
Didn't find them to be all that smart in the open beta but they may have been toned down intentionally.
Pretty much free kills in the beta.
Though i did get teambagged by a friendly one while it tried to rez me and kept breaking the animation until i timed out, so bonus points for that?
