How to add/invite someone from Xbox series S

I am trying to play bf2042 with someone that is on xbox and every time I to to search for their name, it says, "No players matched the search criteria. I'm I missing something or is it just not working?

I looked up a PC person's user name and we both got "No players matched the search criteria.". We both got the same message when I searched them, and they got it when searched for me.
I'm on XBox One, they are on PC.

Hi @Xanthais If you're on Xbox One then you won't be able to play with PC, you'd need a Series S/X console (ignore me if you're talking about current gen).

What about ps5 and xbox series s? I get the same message

@Dentskii They can play together if the PS5 user plays the PS4 version of the game.
