the highlighting wall hack is bull**** and you know it. it allows people to sit in a bush and fire at a red blob on their screen that they can't see
@Psubond in my observation it doesn’t spot you behind the wall or other covers, it spots you only in line of sight.
But the Sentry has good eyes and a hand or food out of cover is enough to get spotted.
But if you got spotted you stay spotted for around 5-6 seconds even if you get behind cover (and no a bush is not a real cover 😉)

See you on the Battlefieldpeople put the gun out in the open next to a bush then they hide in the bush so they can shoot out of it
I find that the sentry gun can only become a problem if too many people place them in the same area.
I believe that a super easy fix for this is to do something like with the mines in older BFV games to prevent other sentry guns from being placed within X meters from other sentry guns.
The sentry guns themselves are super squishy and do not bother me.
- @UP_Hawxxeye they are a lame wall hack with their highlighting. spotting should be on mini map only
- @Psubond than you run into the trap. Als Shooting out of cover at a Sentry is not a good idea, especially when you already got hit by the burst.
Yes, the Sentry is powerful but far away from being overpowered.
You can kill it with two shots from the GTV and around 8-10 Shots from an Assault rifle.
The Ranger (Dog) is far more stable with a gun that has a horrible bullet spread but you need many bullets to kill him when you don't got a Nade, so it is more dangerous in the open then the sentry.
But putting on a weak spot could be a good solution here.
Maybe try to play Boris a while than can you see that you need some map awareness to put the sentry into a good spot. If you Put a Sentry on the wrong spot Is not useful or it gets killed easily.
See you on the Battlefield- @CountSero why not make it a deployable heavy machine-gun he can then use. heck if you want to go the extra mile it gives him amazing synergy with irish to make it an actual strong point. i detest any auto-spotting gadget that literally deteriorates the gameplay into use and forget, or camp and infest.
on top the highlighted spot does track trough any obstacle for about 7 seconds and there is nothing you can do to counter it, since as you said, it only needs to see a few pixles to work....
it is a way to increase your DPS as a player in an unfair and abusable way. i have seen boris players rather pluck down their turret in gunfights then to shoot back at me knwoing the turret will deal significant or leathal DMG and then cover them for a revive oportunity
- @Psubond Nerf the Bush, not the turret.
After struggling to get Boris to T1, I can safely say it doesn't need nerfing!
