Yes, the Sentry is powerful but far away from being overpowered.
You can kill it with two shots from the GTV and around 8-10 Shots from an Assault rifle.
The Ranger (Dog) is far more stable with a gun that has a horrible bullet spread but you need many bullets to kill him when you don't got a Nade, so it is more dangerous in the open then the sentry.
But putting on a weak spot could be a good solution here.
Maybe try to play Boris a while than can you see that you need some map awareness to put the sentry into a good spot. If you Put a Sentry on the wrong spot Is not useful or it gets killed easily.

na, i have tier 1 on boris. i'm never using him again. the wall hack highlighting is lame and cheap
@Psubondand the turret is not always reliable where it really counts.
The meta still is all about Mackay and Angel with a bit of Sundance when there is a need to traverse fast.
Nothing can beat being able to ADS strafe faster while being able to also take paths few others can without an aircraft.

@PsubondI think this issue stems from the walls not being as solid as they are supposed to be often.
I have been hit by some grenades and fire through walls for example. So the turret ends up somehow seeing someone behind the wall.- @UP_Hawxxeye which is one of the reasons the highlighting should be removed and made to spot on mini map only

I just feel bad when it is asked for the effect to be changed instead of focusing on the cause ☹️It feels more like if the game loses features for the sake of fixing problems ☹️
Such an overpowered gadget that dies in 8 bullets loooool I give up!
