please can we have some Howitzers that you can roll into the battle area perhaps a small truck can tow them.

Didn't BF4 mortars and BF1 mortar trucks teach us anything? @UP_LordPlumber I never played them online im quite new to battlefield so I wouldn’t know. But considering we already have fighter jets and rail gun tanks and helis I thought it wouldn’t disrupt things to much just my personal opinion.
- @mickey921 Quite the opposite. It would introduce yet another way for players to camp somewhere in their base and disturb the flow on the actual battlefield.
There is a reason why we called those players "Mortards" @UP_LordPlumber Well I think they would be ok as it would be difficult for players to hit targets . We can disagree tho it’s normal.

Hate it all you want but artillery vehicles, BC2 artillery perk for recon in BC2, artillery strikes in V, the bombing run in BF1943, portable mortar in BF:Vietnam and others I've not mentioned are just so satisfying to get kills with.
So I'd be quite happy to see something similar in 2042.

- @mickey921 Mortars maybe but Howitzers? I know this is not a mil-sim, but the minimum range of a Howitzer would exceed any map size unless you are shooting nerf ammunition.
Doubt you'll see anything like this from Dice Sweden in Battlefield again. They've been pretty committed to turning the franchise into an instant gratification ego shooter despite how poorly it has turned out for them the past couple of games.
@AdamonicWe also had Siege Howitzer in BF1. It brought nothing but frustration from getting killed by shells landing from the sky.
Someone might argue it brought "immersion", which might work for a WW1 game. But for a game set in the future, it won't do any good.Then BF5 artillery strike squad call in. Overpowered, frustrating to go against, screen shaking thing that added no real value to the gameplay
- @UP_LordPlumber Yeah, I am not a fan of any indirect fire without a counter.
