I'm sure everyone feels the same way :P
It's not like previous AC didn't work at all but I completely understand the frustration - We have a bunch of different tools linked to Portal in addition to a fresh system so I'm cautiously optimistic about this one.

@TTZ_Dipsy Dropped BF on PC since BF4 with two Anti-cheats. They don't care. PC into crossplay is there to make them money PC over run with cheaters meh the consoles will hold up the player base.
Activision has poisoned the well for PC crossplay and I'm going to say their Twitter and forums will be nothing but X cheat, ban Y ect in its launch month.

I'm leaning toward ps5 for BF2042. Sony let's customers disable crossplay in the game menu. I might go Xbox if Microsoft let's us disable crossplay in the game menu too.
Definitely not going PC. I've had enough of the cheaters.
Also XIM probably won't work on ps5, so at least everyone will be playing with a controller on Sony's console.
Unless there's native mouse and keyboard support, which I hope there is. I prefer mouse.

@OskooI_007 Seen that a few times about Xim and co not working on PS5 but why do you say that? As far as I know these devices "fake" the input of a controller that's plugged into it? Maybe them strike pack crap wont work as its a different shape.
If I got a PS5 I'd buy it there, but got a series X and either going to get last gen or gamepass edition. As we know MS wont allow us to disable crossplay Apex/Warzone/big team modes in CoD.
Have they even said they going input match making as that would help a bit, CoD = anything goes and I'm sick of being the only console player in lobby vs KB/M users on PC.

another kernel lvl access AC?
- Fringerunner4 years agoSeasoned Ace@Cle34n Still not a complete fix, but it certainly weeds out a good chunk of the cheaper ones that still bypass battleye/EAC etc.
Would be interesting to see a poll done by EA/Dice to see how many would be willing to allow that kind of AC (ala Valorant, without getting into the legalities in different territories).
And regarding the chatter about cheating on consoles, it'll take anyone about five seconds worth of googling to find there's a *lot* of options outside of controller-based cheats.
Only real difference now is price of entry on PC vs console.
As for China's recent ban on online gaming, that's really not going to affect the markets outside of china for the people who make cheats for a living.
I for one am a lot less annoyed about it with the community managed server options announced for 2042, so going find a few international guild servers, behave while there, and life will be good (ok, better.)
