From what I see we shouldn’t certain ones be on each team? Boris, Falik, Rao, Paik be on the Russians and the others be on US? Something like that? right now it makes no difference as both teams are the same specialist. Just the team Is different.

@SleepyWeasel68 They have no idea what game they made. In theory the US and Russia are the last two nation states and all the other countries are beholden to them. Of course that makes little sense, it should be the US and China, as Russia isn’t a super power anymore. For NoPats to really work, no countries should be left, only groups of amalgamated people who band together to try and survive. I’m not sure what this 2042 is.

In my humble opinion, it went down like this"I got an idea, let's make the new Battlefield a Battle Royale cause BR's are hot right now right?""Oh, crap everybody hates that idea, what do we do now? We've already made the maps and the hero characters for BR's.""I know we'll just use the same models for both sides and call 'em No-Pats everybody will buy that right?""We'll get Ricky the intern from the mail-room to write the backstory it'll be great!""Great round table boys, drinks are on me down at the pub!"

I don’t even try to make sense of the storyline. If there still is a Russia and a U.S., why would half these people be ex-pats?

Sundance fights for Russia on Mondays and Tuesdays. Then finishes off the rest of the week fighting for America.

@CountSeroIt is an interesting premise all things considered.The problem is that they both failed to deliver that story to people and the characters did not match the story they are in.

@WedgeTornado I agree. Not sure why the previous titles had factional soldiers but 2042 did not? In the heat of battle I sometimes mistake an enemy as friendly or a friendly as an enemy. After playing previous titles I grow custom to observing the uniforms to determine friend or foe, but since we all look the same I have to look at the "glow stick" lol or the fat name tag hovering over a player.

I did see many comments stating that 2042 was originally a BR game so that may have something to do with it. Maybe one day Dice will add factional uniforms but doubt it.

To be honest I’ve never been able to tell the difference even in bf4. I totally rely on
* are they travelling in the same direction
* are they shooting at me
* do they have the correct coloured dot.
I literally can not tell the diff from the uniforms. Too old, and bad eyesight. Probably why my kD is 0.75.
what I do find really disconcerting is when you get the death close up of your killer and it’s the most distorted disturbing face mesh.
