He sees this. But he cannot change to PS4. Only ps5
When he install game from disk but he see only ps5 version.
From my understanding the cross-gen bundle was only available through the purchase of the digital copy.

The Gold, and Ultimate Editions (Digital Only) all have access to the Cross-Gen Bundle. The Digital Standard Edition on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S has been upgraded today to also include this Cross-Gen Bundle.

I don't know the answer to that. I didn't you could digitally upgrade a physical copy of the game to another edition but reason would tell me that the upgrade may not contain the main game code but simply the additional game content consisting of skins, access to season passes, etc. .....all the extras in other words, not the gamev themselves.
@Kean_1111There's an upgrade bundle on the PsStore, that lets you buy a year 1 battlepass and a upgrade to ultimate edition packaged together.
I would imagine that it would work with the disc version to, and you would just have to still have the disc in the console while playing either the Ps4 or Ps5 version, but I don't actually know for sure. (But thats how it usually works when upgrading disc versions on Ps5)

I don't doubt it, just never looked. I'd still imagine that upgrade doesn't contain the full game files though. .....so in other words, the upgrade won't give a PS5 disk user the full version of the PS4 game.
The fact is though, I just don't know for sure.

Same as when you upgrade a Ps4 disc game to the Ps5 version. When you upgrade a Ps4 game you just get a download of the full Ps5 version

Unless something has changed very recently, you cannot "upgrade" a physical disk copy of the PS4 version of the game and get the PS5 version. That would require buying any one of the PS5 digital versions of the game for full price which would come with both regardless. In other words, you can't buy the PS4 disk and then buy the PS5 version for a discounted price. .....there is no cross-gen upgrade for the disk version as far as I know.
@Ruslan-kbr was asking about their friend upgrading their PS5 disk version to the Ultimate edition. Now, if they mean the "Year 1 Pass + Ultimate Pack Bundle PS4 & PS5" that's available to owners of the game, I highly doubt that contains any of the game files. It's an upgrade for people who already own the game(s). What it says it contains is simply the Y1 Pass and the bundels (skins, etc.), digital artbook, soundtrack and so on.
Now, if they meant that their friend was going to purchase the Ultimate Edition of the game, yeah, that would include both the PS5 and PS4 version of the game just as the rest of the digital editions do.

I have literally not bought the Ps5 version of any game that was on both system yet except for battlefield.
I always buy the Ps4 disc versions as its usually a bit cheaper, and then use the free Ps5 upgrade option.
It has been working like that since the day the Ps5 was released.
EDIT: I just realised I misunderstood what you were saying. I thought you ment you couldn't upgrade Ps4 disc versions in general, but I see now that you were talking about battlefield specifically. Im not sure about that. The upgrade that is on the store now is titled something like "season pass year 1 + ultimate edition upgrade" The ultimate edition contained both versions, so it would be pretty misleading if upgrading didn't give you access to both versions.

Yes, I'm talking about Battlefield and specifically to their concern about upgrading to the cross-gen bundle from their physical copy of the PS5 game.
I don't see why anyone would assume the Y1 Pass and Ultimate Bundle contains one or both of the full games though. It's an upgrade for those who already own one or both version of the game. It's not a stand alone product and says nothing about providing a PS4 / PS5 copy of the game. .....just the pass and bundles, etc.
Yeah, it actually lists what comes with the purchase. ....the pass, bundles, digital soundtrack, etc.
