I have a question about revive....

I have been playing on PC for a while and I noticed that when you die and you are revived, it takes a very long time to get up. Before you are revived you are already dead because you cannot get away quickly, it is quite strange compared to a console because I also bought a console for my son a month ago. Now I bought Battlefield there to see what the difference is. is and there certainly is. If a console is revived, it can immediately get up and get away without the hassle or misery of lingering, and the PC does that. It's as if the game is looking for whether I am revived or not. It finds that a bit unfair behavior and it makes no sense to make that difference!!!

I have noticed the long getting up issue but don't have a console to test it against. I am curious if others can see the difference also as I think this would be an unfair advantage?

Probably a bug. Just like the ladder bug on console. (Search for it in the BUGS section, i reported it a few times in the past 2 years). Hasn't been fixed.

  • @Steff_Blackson I always felt there was Inconsistency with getting up after a revive where it feels slower for me, thus I die, but Enemies get up fast and I die either way.
  • @Steff_Blackson I'm on the PS5 and if revived can get right up and run / back away from the person or area where I got shot. I also come back with around 50% Health, which recovers quickly too.

No way this is a bug, but at the same time there must be a reason for it because to make two separate platforms behave differently like this is a deliberate action which ,must have had a purpose.

The revive mechanism has been that way for a long time on PC, I think it came in 4: There was a "problem" of revivees being instantly able to get back in the fight, which sometimes made clearing groups a real pain, so the delay was introduced. Then we had a period of games where the revive would bring you back facing the opposite direction in which you died, which generally meant you died almost immediately, again.

The current delay, but facing in the right direction is a good compromise on PC.

Interesting that console bunnies get instant revive.

  • @Steff_Blackson I’m frustrated to learn that consoles get another advantage. I’ve been revived and insta killed while still unable to move too many times, to find out that it’s on PC only makes me even more frustrated with the choices these devs make. It’s as if they purposely make it harder. There’s too much server side BS with these boneheads.
